Dunlopillo latex also makes the ideal pillow material, ensuring that you enjoy the same level of comfort from head to toe. Our pillows keep their shape and size for many years, so you can experience the same feel every night. The process of creating each Dunlopillo latex mattress or pillow is far from simple. They start by collecting natural latex in its pure form from mature rubber trees. As the name of the tree suggests, this latex is the core ingredient of rubber, but we take it on a very complex journey to create something perfectly designed to help you sleep in comfort. The process begins with careful blending to produce a mixture that is the basis of Dunlopillo latex. The next stage is freezing the latex in a mould to temperatures of -30°C, adding a gas and then heating it to 115°C to cure and set the mixture. Thorough washing and drying ensures that all proteins and impurities are removed. This is followed by individual testing of each block to check that it meets the required specifications for density and comfort. Only then is it ready for finishing into a mattress or pillow ready to take its place in your bedroom. Each Dunlopillo latex mattress and pillow is made individually to suit the particular range that it is part of. There are easier and less expensive ways to make mattresses and pillows, but we believe the effort is worth it. We are confident that you will too when you try Dunlopillo latex for yourself.
